When I was not accustomed to travelling yet, I had troubles dealing with my expenses. For numerous times, I ended up going back home flat broke. But I see myself now as a smart traveller. I put a lot of financial planning to be prepared every time I take a trip. Often, there are cases that I need to get hold of inexpensive plane tickets or book for cheap accommodation offers. I accomplish all of these without any hassle.
When you go to a certain destination and you lack a document that is essential to travel around, you would have to pay fines. I avoid this by securing that essential documents are all in my bag. I also save a copy of them on my email for fearing that they would get misplaced or stolen. Of course, I am always careful of my baggage. I put important papers in a tiny purse which I can wear beneath my shirt.
Another smart action I take is travelling during off-season. Aside from the fact that there are fewer crowds in the tourist attractions, I get to avail the cheapest air plane tickets too. This is for the reason that companies have to bargain their tickets to lure some people to have holidays even when the moment is not proper.
Last but not the least, I limit my tipping practice. Instead of leaving money to people I meet, I give away the clothes I have packed. Of course, I bring clothes that are all set for disposal. Through this, I’m saving money and at the same time getting more space in my travel case for souvenirs.
